Cynthia Broussard, Manager of Mission Services

Cynthia Broussard, Registered Nurse, was born and raised in Ontario Canada. In 1983 she moved to the United States and began her career at St. John in 1990. She has worked in various departments within St. John Hospital including ICU, Hospital Education Department, Nursing and Respiratory Therapy Educator for the nursing orientation, Nursing Unit Educator, and CPR instructor. In 2008 Cynthia became a certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. In the same year she accepted the position to be the Manager of Mission services which involve overseeing our Point of Light Clinic, School based clinics and many other community programs, such as Parish nursing, Wee See Vision, and the Gabriel Project. The Palliative care team is very active at St. John Hospital in which Cynthia receives the consults, admit all patients and follows-up with their care and needs throughout their hospitalization and after discharge.

Cynthia has been in the St. John family for 19 years. She was also selected as the Associate of the Year in June 2007-2008. Cynthia Broussard says, “St. John Hospital is my family and my second home, and it has allowed me many wonderful opportunities to advance in my profession.”
