2009 Operation San Jose Mission Trip

Volunteers from the Cronin & Brauer Cleft Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic are this year visiting Villahermosa, Mexico, and performing free cleft-lip and palate surgeries on patients. While in Mexico, they will perform 43 surgeries.

Residents seeking treatment have traveled from remote towns up to seven hours to reach the medical center. On February 17 our volunteers operated on an 18-year-old who had received no previous medical care for her cleft lip and palate. After surgery a volunteer described our patient as “very beautiful.”
