Hometown Hero – Outstanding Volunteer Recognized

Dr. Ernest Cronin has been named the 2011 Halliburton Hometown Hero. Dr. Cronin leads the Cronin & Brauer Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic and the Operation San José Mission Project, two of CHRISTUS Foundation’s cornerstone ministries. Dr. Cronin will be honored at the Houston Texans game at Reliant Stadium on Monday, August 15th. In addition to introducing Dr. Cronin as the 2011 Hometown Hero, Halliburton will make a donation to the CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare in Dr. Cronin’s honor.

The Cronin & Brauer Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic was founded to help offer the finest
in comprehensive(l to r) Les cave, CHRISTUS Foundation President; Toro, Texans Team Mascot; Dr. Ernest Cronin care for patients with congenital cranial and facial anomalies. The fourth most common birth defect, cleft lip or palate indicates a separation of parts of the lip and/or roof of the mouth. In addition to the service that the Cronin & Brauer clinic renders locally, Operation San José mission volunteers provide free medical care and education in Mexico, Central, and South America.
