Houston, TX, August 2011 – CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare announces a generous fifteen thousand dollar gift from the Employee Community Fund of Boeing-Houston. The community-based health center, CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic, will use the greatly needed donation to provide better access to healthcare, including prescription assistance and health education for the Dickinson, Texas community.
“People without health insurance sometimes wait too long to seek medical care. When they have to choose between food on the table or a doctor’s visit, their health often suffers. CHRISTUS Point of Light offers quality, affordable, healthcare to the uninsured. Thanks to generosity of ECF of Boeing, we can now provide more patients with prescription assistance and health education,” said Sister Ricca Dimalibot, M.D., the board certified family practice physician at CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic.
CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic in Dickinson, Texas opened full time in 2009 to provide healthcare services to the under and uninsured. Last year healthcare services were provided to over 4,500 patients by Sr. Ricca and her staff of two.
