Located 30 miles southeast of Houston, Point of Light Clinic provides essential medical care to underserved families in Dickinson and surrounding communities.
Until recently, the clinic served hundreds of patients each month from a small 1,000-square-foot facility with only two exam rooms and minimal storage capacity. Point of Light’s rapidly expanding patient base – which has grown 50 percent in the past year – meant more space was necessary to address growing community needs.
Relocated to 3828 Hughes Ct. in Dickinson, Point of Light Clinic now measures in at 1,600 square feet, with four exam rooms, a lab area and office for the clinic’s primary physician, Sr. Ricca Dimalibot, M.D. The new space accommodates an array of vital services, which include family-practice medicine, vaccinations, Well Women Exams, pediatrics, health exams, minor injury treatment as well as screening for diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Since February of 2011, the expanded facility has welcomed more than 100 new patients per month, with services available from 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m. weekdays.
