CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital Wee See Vision Program receives gift from CHRISTUS St. Catherine Volunteers

The Volunteers of CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital recently made a $2,000 gift to the St. Catherine Fund to support the newly formed community outreach ministry program of CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital called the Wee See Vision Program.

This program will offer eye exams and corrective lenses to children that are uninsured or underinsured and works through collaborative partnerships with KISD, local clinics and physicians. The effect of the program on children is so positive — maintaining eye health, improving academic performance and keeping children safe by correcting their vision are all critical to the success of children.

“We are so thankful for the support of the CHRISTUS St. Catherine Volunteers,” said Dana Mersiovsky, Chief Development Officer at CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital. “Each volunteer is an integral part of our hospital’s mission and vision and this gift enables us to extend that into the community.”
