Theresa, Oliver, Miguel, and Alex—clients of the Mobile Clinic for five years, were eager to tell us how the clinic has made a difference in their lives. After visiting the clinic, Theresa and her husband, Oliver, noted its convenience and stated, “with transportation being a major issue for us and many others, the Mobile Clinic travels to where people are in need.”

Oliver Hernandez, a diabetic, recently lost his job and was left without health insurance. He utilizes the services of CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinic to manage his disease. The Mobile Clinic provides him with necessary health screenings, techniques for managing his diabetes, and resources to find low-cost medical supplies.

Soon after Miguel Hernandez had abdominal surgery in 2008, he began visiting the Mobile Clinic to monitor his health. Miguel also receives recommended health screenings, and the clinic assists him in obtaining medicines at low cost. Miguel’s wife, Alex, and their five children also visit the Mobile Clinic for health screenings and immunizations.
