CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital looks nothing like an ordinary hospital; instead, it resembles an upscale mall. The open-air design is highlighted by a 700-foot-long walkway with pleasant seating areas that conveniently joins the medical office building with the hospital. At each end of the walkway, courtyards bathe the hospital in natural light and connect patients to the outside, no matter where they are in the facility. The perimeter of the mall contains all of the patient service areas, which are accessed through “storefronts.”

However, CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital is about more than just an attractive environment. Our staff and physicians continue the tradition of caring established by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word more than 100 years ago. We seek to restore the whole person back to a place of complete physical, mental and spiritual wellness.

The first hospital in Katy to be granted the designation of Accredited Chest Pain Center, CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital has recently undergone a $50 million expansion. This growth encompasses a new patient tower and additional 36-bed medical/surgical unit. The hospital also welcomed The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Radiation Treatment Center to the campus in fall 2007.

The facility’s new cardiac catheterization lab serves both diagnostic and interventional needs, while a fully integrated cardiovascular operating room addresses urgent needs for open-heart surgery. CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital, along with board-certified cardiologists and highly experienced, board-certified cardiovascular surgeons, bring the technology, skill and experience to provide a vast array of services focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease.
