CHRISTUS St. John Hospital offers comprehensive medical services in cardiology, oncology, intensive care, emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging, gynecology, pediatrics, advanced laparoscopic procedures, cancer treatment, cardiovascular and vascular specialties.
The hospital recently celebrated the grand opening of a $7.8-million expansion project that includes more than 200,000 square feet of new and renovated space for an Emergency Care & Chest Pain Center and a Women’s Imaging Pavilion. This expansion includes investments in the latest imaging technology, such as full-field digital mamography.
The hospital is the first in Texas to be a participating hospital for all three of the American Heart Association’s models of the Get With The Guidelines program: coronary artery disease, stroke and heart failure.
CHRISTUS St. John Hospital’s Community Outreach Ministries continuously support the mission of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
Operated by the Mission Community Outreach offices at CHRISTUS St. John Hospital, the Wee See Program helps provide eye exams and corrective lenses for disadvantaged students in the Clear Creek and Dickinson independent school districts.
CHRISTUS St. John Hospital’s school-based clinics improve the health of uninsured children in the Bay Area. Its Nurse Practitioners at two elementary schools in the area treat illness and prescribe medicines at no cost to families. In 2008 these clinics provided service to more than 1,600 children.
