Services

Point of Light Clinic, staffed by volunteer physicians, nurses and clerical assistants, began to increase the number of evenings a month that services were provided. In its early years, the clinic served clients only two nights weekly, and relied on volunteers.

Now open 8-5 on weekdays (closed for lunch from 12 - 1) and staffed full-time by a family practitioner,  the clinic’s services include—

• Family Medicine
• Flu, Pneumonia and Tetanus vaccinations
• Pediatrics (2 years of age and older) – Well and Sick visits
• Well adult exam
• Respiratory and urinary tract infections
• Minor injuries
• Screening and care for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other chronic illness

Employee Community Fund of Boeing-Houston Gives $15,000 Gift to CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic

CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare announces a generous fifteen thousand dollar gift from the Employee Community Fund of Boeing-Houston. The community-based health center, CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic, will use the greatly needed donation to provide better access to healthcare, including prescription assistance and health education for the Dickinson, Texas community.
