A collaboration of Houston’s historic San José Clinic, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, and CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare, the Moran Health Center opens in Houston’s Midtown on February 6, 2010.
A major, multi-service health complex, "Moran Health Center" offers primary and specialized medical services, dental care, mental-health counseling and literacy-education programs to those who often have the greatest needs.
Under one roof, three pioneering faith-based nonprofit organizations provide Houston’s uninsured with the compassionate healing and healthcare they need not only to fight disease and repair injuries, but to live smart and stay healthy. Regardless of faith, all in need are welcomed out of darkness by gentle hands, open hearts and the glory of Christ’s healing light.
Situated at the intersection of Fannin and McGowen streets, one block east of the Main Street Metro Rail and near several bus routes, the Moran Health Center offers visitors easy access by both public and private means. The location offers yet another benefit, as the centrally positioned Midtown property proves to be the ideal headquarters for the CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinic – a rolling medical facility that serves thousands annually throughout Houston’s impoverished and underserved neighborhoods.
